Ushering in the New Year

Our Goodman Family reunion continued with "Cupcake Wars" - Goodman style - on the morning activity on Friday, December 30, 2016.  Creativity and ingenuity runs rampant in our family as witnessed in these award winning play-dough creations.

That afternoon, the family bundled up and headed out of the lodge to try their luck on what had become the Pine Valley sledding hill.  A great time was had by all!

Saturday we enjoyed some family history fun.  I had designed a Goodman family tree and had it made into a puzzle for each family.  After completing the puzzles, we engaged in game of family bingo.  Hopefully, this will help us all become better acquainted with our ancestors.  We love and miss them, greatly!

That afternoon it was time for the spud-derby, and everyone designed some cool potato-mobiles for the big race.  Dad awarded little Mexican bobble-head toys to the kids for their participation.

That evening, a new year's eve extravaganza was organized by Bobby and Jill.  We played a bunch of "minute-to-win-it" type games.  I even made it out of bed and put myself together for the exciting cumulative party of our family reunion.

With everyone partied out and feeling a bit like Tanner, we retired to our beds.  There was no banging of pots and pans, or shooting off fireworks, but I'm certain there was enough noisy commotion and emotional sparks ignited during the course of the week to make up for it!

Welcome to the year 2017!
