A Texas Thanksgiving

By November 2017, Bob and I were finally starting to get settled into our new home in Texas.  We were thrilled to have Michael and Kristin's family fly here from Utah, and Chelsea and Thomas' family drive over from Temple, Texas for our Goodman Family Thanksgiving.  Understandably, Stephanie and Ben did not want to leave Paris, and Bobby and Jill preferred to stay at home since her family needed a place to go.  Our home was filled with the sounds of kids, and my heart was filled with joy.  Everyone seemed to enjoy just being together at home and in the pool, but we did find several activities to participate in as well.

We found a nearby amusement park called 7-Acre Woods and had a fun day there with the kids.

A bouncy play-place enticed us out of the house one afternoon.  Eve was pretty content just playing with Holly.

Top golf was on the agenda one day.  It was my first time to play . . . and I'm thinking I'd better stick with tennis.

Of course, there was the Thanksgiving Feast, and a few Christmas presents to share.

Even though we may not all be able to get all of our kiddos together often over the next few years, we are so thankful for family!  We will take them whenever and wherever we can!
