Wanting to capitalize on the short time we would have together as a family, we arranged for a four-day reunion in Moab, Utah, from June 18-21. We met at Dead Horse Point State Park for a panoramic view of southern Utah's Canyonlands. This stunning viewpoint was created by the meandering Colorado River located 2,000 feet below the 6,000 feet above sea level plateau upon which we stood. Chasing and capturing lizards keep the grand-kids busy and amused.
Some of us decided to tackle the heat and hike along the west rim trail, while the others continued on to Moab to settle into the vacation home we rented just south of town.
There is certainly beauty in the desert!
